A PRAYER FOR ABORTIONISTS |
|
God our Father, we praise you, and we thank you for the great
love with which you fashioned each of us within our mother's wombs. From the
moment of conception, and for all eternity thereafter, you love each of us
with a love that is totally unconditional. That same unconditional love led
St. Paul from being a persecutor of your people to becoming one of Christ's
greatest disciples. Today we ask you to pour forth your love upon all who perform, or in any way assist in abortions. Send forth your Spirit, O God, to enlighten the minds and transform the hearts of all who are responsible for this terrible crime against humanity. We pray that they may cease to destroy the life you have created, Father, and may instead use their skills to support life in all its stages. Loving Father give us the strength to become channels through which all people, and especially those who are involved in an abortion, may come to experience, first of all, your great love for them, and secondly, for the babies who are the innocent victims of abortion. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus. Amen. The Association has the foregoing prayer in a small card format. Copies of it may be obtained by a request to the office. |
